FAQ Rumbles Dog Walking covering Thornton, Cleveleys, Anchorsholme and Fleetwood, Lancashire, FY5

How much does it cost to have my dog walked?

Please see our 'Services - Rates' page.

Where will you walk my dog?

We usually walk the dogs at Country Parks and Woodlands.  We work within the Dog Control Orders issued by Wyre Borough Council and only walk dogs where allowed.  We can also street walk your dog if you would prefer but this would be classed as an individual walk and charged accordingly.

Will you walk my dog off the lead?

Dogs are only walked off lead with express written permission from the owner.  We will also keep your dog on lead on initial walks whilst building up a relationship and trust with ourselves.

Where are you based?

We are based in Thornton and cover the following areas:

  • Thornton - Cleveleys

How long is a walk?

A walk is usually 1 hour long with a minimum of 50 minutes.  This does however depend on you dog and in certain cases the weather conditions.  We will always put the best interests of your dog first.

How many dogs do you walk at once?

We will not walk more than six dogs at a time with a maximum of 4 dogs per walker. This ensures that we are in full control of your dog and can give them our full care and attention.

Are you police checked?

Yes.  Russ holds a current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau certificate.

Are you insured?

Yes.  We hold specialist insurance with Cliverton Insurance, the certificate will be shown on request.

What are home visits?

A home visit is different from just a walk as we will also feed your dog and provide water along with lots of cuddles.  This service is for dogs who are left alone during the day and not in place of pet sitting where the customer is away for long periods.

We also provide home visits for cats.  Whilst you are away we will visit your cat/s, provide food and water and where necessary change litter trays.  We will also spend time with your cats and give cuddles and strokes.

What do you do with my keys?

All keys are coded and kept in a storage box.  We never put names or addresses on the keys and the codes are kept separately.  If you leave a set of keys on file with Rumbles then we are only ever a phone call away should an emergency arise.

What do you do in the case of an emergency?

In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. If veterinary assistance is required, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or to the nearest possible one depending on the circumstances.
